After an incredible initial launch of the Summer Street Party in 2018, Homes By DeSantis is thrilled to announce the Second Annual Summer Street Party on Saturday August 17th 2019. Occurring on Main Street in downtown Grimsby this event promises to be even bigger and better than last year. Starting at 5pm the street will be filled with an array of amazing family activities all free of charge. Special Characters and Disney Princesses will be touring the street for photos and meet and greets with children, accompanied by Magicians and local legend Fluffy the Clown. Face painters will be on site to deck out the littles with custom art, and Grimsby New Life will again be bringing their amazing inflatables for kids to bounce out their energy. At 5:30 the popular Dan the Music Man returns to the main stage to entertain the kids with his own brand of family friendly music. For the older kids the exotic car show is sure to impress featuring millions in high end exotic vehicles, there will also be a dunk tank where folks can test their arm and dunk special guests. More food vendors will be available to whet the appetites of attendees, including pulled pork, pizza, gourmet hot dogs and gelato! The local restaurants will also be available for those looking to enjoy a sit down meal during the festivities.
At 6:30 pm the large licensed patio in front of Forty Public House will become a ticketed event with amazing front row access to what promises to be an unbelievable show. Starting with the Country Junkies to warm up the audience for the headliner, Country Music star Tebey, who is currently enjoying international success with songs such as Denim on Denim, Jealous of the Sun and Who’s Gonna Love You. This is a show you do not want to miss. If you were lucky enough to attend last year’s show with the Reklaws, you know that the vibe was amazing as the professional stage and sound rocked the core until 11pm.
Most importantly this event has a strong connection to the Grimbsy and Niagara Region as it will serve as a major fundraiser for four local Not-For-Profits. Last year’s event saw a $100,000 donation to the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital Foundation. This year Homes By DeSantis hopes to double the amount and extend the good will to; the Grimsby Benevolent Fund, Habitat for Humanity Niagara, Gillian’s Place and the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital Foundation.
The Summer Street Party remains a free event however donation boxes will be set up throughout the event, and food vendors will be donating a portion of proceeds back to the cause. The licensed patio will be ticketed however the concert itself is 100% free.
